Infrastructure for the week nobody sees

Monetane is a software company serving live entertainment and outdoor events. Our product is the operational layer behind an event — the part that has to work precisely for no one in the audience to notice it at all.

Why we exist

Event software was written for buildings

Most ticketing and operations platforms in this industry were designed around a venue: fixed walls, fixed seats, wired networks, and a box office with a permanent desk. That set of assumptions begins to break the moment an event takes place in a field.

Outdoor events invert nearly all of them. The footprint changes each year. Capacity is a decision rather than a seat count. Connectivity is weakest precisely where and when the crowd is densest. And the teams running the event are largely seasonal, working from mobile devices, distributed across a large site.

Monetane was built in the other order — field first, then venue. Operations, ticketing, and sales tracking in one platform, with an offline-first admission path underneath, because the alternative is a printed list and a manual count.

How we work

Six commitments we hold ourselves to

These are the positions we default to when there is a trade-off, and the ones we expect to be held to when something goes wrong.

01

Admission comes first

Admission is the one function that cannot degrade. Every other part of the product — dashboards, reporting, analytics — yields bandwidth, memory, and battery before scanning does.

02

Design for the site, not the office

We build for a device at low battery, outdoors, at night, with limited signal. Software that performs under those conditions performs comfortably in a box office.

03

One number, one source

If two screens can disagree about how many people are on site, the design is wrong. Operations, ticketing, and finance read from the same record.

04

Your funds, your processor

We are not in the flow of funds. Sales settle to your account through your own payment processor, and we charge for software.

05

Candour during evaluation

If the platform is not the right fit for an event, we say so during the evaluation rather than discovering it together partway through onboarding.

06

Support while doors are open

Event issues rarely occur during business hours. Our support model is built around when events actually run, including evenings and weekends.

Security & reliability

Trust is the product

You are entrusting us with admission control and your revenue record on a day that cannot be repeated. This is how we approach that responsibility.

Least privilege by default

Roles map to real event responsibilities — gate lead, box office, vendor, promoter, finance. New users start with the narrowest useful permission set rather than broad access.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

TLS on every connection and encryption at rest for stored data. Card data does not touch Monetane infrastructure; payment details remain with your processor.

Complete audit trail

Capacity changes, comp issues, refunds, permission grants, and device admissions are recorded with actor and timestamp, and are exportable on request.

Designed to fail safely

Degradation is expected outdoors, so the system is built so that the failure mode is a queued transaction rather than a stopped gate or a lost sale.

Find out whether we are a fit

The most efficient way to evaluate Monetane is to put a real event in front of it — ideally the one that is hardest to run.
